Jupiter-Rahu Conjunction: From King to Fakir and Fakir to King

When Jupiter and Rahu are combined (which Lal Kitab describes as a fight between a lion and an elephant, associated with Mercury):

You are true to your word and do not back down in a confrontation, even if your body is bruised. Your life can show two sides – sometimes like a king, sometimes like a renunciate. You can be hopeful at times and disappointed at others. The period after a 12-year cycle might be difficult, with an atmosphere of poverty all around. When the lion and elephant are asleep, they might, while moving in their sleep according to planetary positions, inadvertently harm your relatives.

The age of 17-24 years might pass well for you. In your 25th year, marriage might also bring good results. From the 28th year onwards, the influence of certain planets (Mercury at 17, Sun at 20, Moon at 22, Mars at 24, Jupiter at 28) might start to support Jupiter. By the age of 36, during Saturn's time, wealth and property might begin to accumulate in larger amounts. By the age of 48, the happiness of children might be established, and the subsequent period might pass well.

The essence is that if you are born into a royal family, you might become a saint or a fakir. And if you are born into a poor family, you might become like a king, meaning you become wealthy. This complete transformation usually begins after the birth of a son.

When both planets combine, an artificial (superficial) Mercury is formed, which gives only empty and hollow fame.

  • When both planets are in the 7th or 12th house, you are merely a worldly person and do not receive any divine power.
  • When both are in houses 1 through 6, you might continue to receive divine power.

You might be accustomed to earning easily or through illicit means. This means you might never have to do hard work. Even if you have to, you might not do or get anything done, but instead, you might receive food for free (whether you call this easy money or ill-gotten gains).

Results of Jupiter and Rahu in different houses:

  • 1st house: You might never face a shortage of food. Even if you are born into a low-caste family, you might receive money from government funds to sustain yourself.
  • 2nd house: You might be a helper of the poor and do good deeds. Even if you become poor for some reason, you might still be like a saint with elephants (meaning you might still have some means or support).
  • 3rd house: You might protect yourself from very clever enemies. You might also be brave. The effects might be seen after Rahu's age (10-21, 42 years).
  • 4th house: You might fully benefit from the excellent influence of the Moon, but Jupiter might remain silent for itself (meaning it might not benefit itself much).
  • 5th house: You might be a ruler or a chief.
  • 7th house: Only one of your father-in-law or father might survive. The one who survives might suffer from asthma. Your youth might pass comfortably.
  • 12th house: When both are here, it forms an empty Mercury. You might be virtuous and intelligent. You might not gain any special benefit from handicraft work. The other houses (6, 9, 10, 11) will give their own respective results.

Adverse conditions (when Jupiter is in houses 6, 7, 10, 11 and Rahu is in houses 1, 2, 5, 7, 9, 10, 11):

The adverse effect on your father's age and wealth might be the same as described for Rahu in the 11th house. Between the ages of 8-12 and 16-21, your father might suffer from paralysis. At 42 years of age, there might be a loss of gold. Business related to Rahu and the condition of relatives might be unfavorable.

Remedies:
- During difficult times, remedies for Mars and Ketu might be helpful.
- Wearing gold on the body might be auspicious.
- If Ketu (son, worthless) is unfavorable, then through the Moon (singing), the Moon's remedy might be helpful.
- Wear a Hauldari (a type of ornament). Wash it in cow's leftover water for 43 days. Donate Mars-related items.
- Wash barley with milk and float it in water for 43 consecutive days.
- Keep silver with you after receiving blessings from your mother.

Specific situations and remedies:

  • 2nd house: If Jupiter and Rahu's enemies are in the 8th house, such unfavorable planets might hinder the birth of children.
  • 3rd house: Up to the age of 34, the effects of both Mercury and Ketu might be unfavorable.
  • 5th house: The effect regarding children might be the same as described for Rahu in the 5th house.
  • 7th house: Only one of your father and father-in-law might survive. If both are alive, one might suffer from asthma.
  • 8th house: Your life might be merely a formality (just passing time), and an atmosphere of despair might prevail all around.

Remedy:
- The remedy given for Jupiter in the 8th house might help.
